Dania & Barry performed at the Fremantle Arts Festival November 4th “Drawn Together” and with James Morrison and WASO November 13-14 2009 at Perth Concert Hall. They started their tango partnership in May 2009 and since then have performed at the Petroleum Engineer’s Annual Ball in August 2009 at the Perth Convention Centre, for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, The Annual Turkish Republic Ball at the Hyatt in October 2009, at the Eve: Marilyn Art Exhibition at the Perth Concert Hall in November 2009. They have been teaching classes and workshops in Perth.



Dania Percy (born Adamuszek) has been dancing Argentine Tango intensively since 2002 in Montreal Canada.  She trained with top dancers from Buenos Aires and America, including Tomas Howlin and Noel Strazza (see youtube video here), and Richard Sagala from Montreal. Dania has attended several international festivals and has much experience with different styles of Argentine Tango.

Dania co-founded Concordia Tango Club with Richard Sagala in Montreal in 2005. Her teaching and dancing skills have benefited from her 13 years of figure skating, 5 years of coaching ice dancing and 13 years of performing in Polish folklore dancing.

She is happy to start her new home in Perth while sharing her love and passion for Argentine Tango with those interested.


Barry Arnold, trained in Argentina, danced at the Sydney Opera House, “His Majesty’s Theatre” in Perth and the Australia Day Concert. He has danced the lead roles in sell out show such as Tango, Tango and Moniques and Tango Bar.

Barry has requested to perform internationally in Singapore for the opening of the Lois Errand event in 2008. He currently dances with his dance partner Dania Percy, in which they last performed at the Perth Convention Centre for the society of Petroleum Engineers’ Annual Ball in August 2009.

in 2005 Barry won the Australia Tango Salon Championships in Sydney. He went on to represent Australia in the Tango World Championships. Barry stayed in Argentina for a year to study tango intensively with some of the best maestros and maestras in the world such as Carols Riverola, Gashi Fernandez, Aurora Lubis, Christina Coretes, Pablo Inza and Eugina Parilla.

Barry was a judge in the 2009 Australian National Tango Championship.

He has visited Buenos Aires on a regular basis to keep in his tango training updated. He has dedicated himself to teaching tango by emphasizing the connection between the two dancers in the dance.


Ann Harkins started dancing Argentine Tango in 2000. She has performed with Juan Rando and also several performances with Barry Arnold for Quartet Ferol and danced at the Joondalup Festival a few years ago. She trained in Buenos Aires in 2004 and 2005. In 2005 Barry and Ann entered the WA Argentine Tango Competition and came 1st, they represented WA in Sydney for the Australian Tango Championship and were placed 1st. Their prize was to represent Australia in the World Championship in Buenos Aires. On her return to Perth, she assisted in teaching with Barry, and now teaches on Thursday evenings at The Perth Tango Club and assists both Barry & Dania at King Street Arts Centre on Sundays.
